Qualifications: Required Qualifications: A Bachelor s Degree. 4 years of relevant corporate paralegal experience at a firm and/or corporation or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience with legal entity data platforms (e.g., hCue) and third-party compliance vendors. Knowledge of, and experience with, state professional licensing practices (contractors, architectural, and engineering) or similar licensing experience. Knowledge of, and experience with, compliance obligations of registered investment advisers under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience.


Job Description:
Senior Paralegal - Licensing and Compliance Los Angeles, California
Duties: The candidate will oversee the Company s professional licensing efforts across the United States and lead a team of paralegals responsible for ensuring the Company s compliance with applicable professional licensing requirements. Serve as a key member of the internal compliance team for the Company s AECOM Capital business segment. In connection with these responsibilities, the selected candidate will work closely with the General Counsel of AECOM Capital, other members of the AECOM Capital executive team, and outside advisors. Proactive leader with the ability and desire to lead a team responsible for critical business functions. Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Capacity to problem solve and implement solutions under time-sensitive circumstances, collaboratively or independently, and take initiative before issues arise. Excellent judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. Practical team player with the ability to professionally collaborate in a results-oriented environment. Effectively work in a highly confidential environment with the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity. Ability to build trust and effective working relationships across various teams and groups. Ability to deal with multistate regulatory agencies and state licensing departments.
