How to Write a Mechanical Patent Associate Job Description

Law firm is seeking a mid-level attorney to join their  patent group in Washington, D.C. Attorney must have 3 years of experience in patent prosecution.Candidate will serve in the analysis and preparation of replies to office actions of the US patent office or foreign agencies; invention disclosure meetings with the clients, and preparation of new patent applications; preparation and prosecution of design applications. Requirements:

• Experience in the study of patents and prosecution history files in support of opinions of non-infringement or invalidity; technology licensing agreements and related transactions; and support of litigation, administrative reviews, petitions and appeals.
• Must be a U.S. Attorney registered to practice in at least one state and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Should have a demonstrated track record of academic achievement, excellent interpersonal skills, and a scientific or engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
