Applicable knowledge of how to draft and prepare correspondence, forms and filings. Extensive computer and database expertise such as working within a case management program and ability to learn and adjust to new technology and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Google Drive. Maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Interact effectively and professionally with all attorneys, administration, team, clients, vendors and other outside parties. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Able to make sound, justifiable recommendations as well as know when and whom to escalate issues. Exceptional problem solving skills. Identify work needs to be done and carry out typical job functions with minimal direct supervision. Prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively in a culturally and educationally diverse environment.

Job Description:
Bilingual Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Duties: Bilingual in Spanish (ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently). Energetic client service focused approach to all responsibilities. Complete preliminary review of case to determine next steps, calendar any time sensitive deadlines/tasks and prepare for review with attorney. Draft forms, correspondence, translations and prepare immigration packets for attorney review prior to being sent to proper immigration agency. Maintain regular communication with clients informing on progression of case as well as manage client expectations regarding communication intervals, case timeframes and deadlines throughout the case. Monitor deadlines and proactively communicate regularly with attorney regarding upcoming deadlines/tasks. Provide clients with information regarding outstanding fees owed and government filing fees. Maintain client electronic files in an organized manner. Perform administrative duties (attorney calendar, calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, keep time in case management software, etc.). Other tasks and duties as assigned from time to time.
