The candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English. Should possesses 1-2 years of immigration law experience (preferably deportation-removal defense), and is admitted to practice in any state or U.S. territory (NY State preferred). Must have experience dealing with Federal Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Department of Homeland Security; specifically, appearing for Master Calendar Hearings and Hearings on Merits, attending U.S.C.I.S. interviews, and writing briefs on immigration-related matters.
