We are a very busy, growing law firm in Fort Myers, Florida, dedicated to helping people achieve their estate planning goals. We are looking for an exceptional, self-motivated person for a full-time LEGAL ASSISTANT – PARALEGAL position. Position requires strong ability to proofread, organize, prioritize, track tasks and multi-task as well as work as part of a committed team. Strong professional written and verbal communication skills required. Must be proficient in Word 2016, Excel, Adobe Pro, Outlook and type a min. of 45 wpm. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and benefits. Must be comfortable learning new software applications and be able to work independently with accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS:

Affable and warm personality; professional appearance with office attire; At least two years of relevant LAW OFFICE administrative paralegal office experience. Expertise with Word 2016 is a necessity. Proficiency with Excel and Adobe Pro software necessary. Ability to learn new software easily; must be a people person.

SKILLS:

Warm, friendly, upbeat, happy, courteous, poised, confident, energetic, highly professional, a team-player, with a “can-do” attitude, have office/business attire (no 5-pocket pants, leggings or tee shirts), professional appearance and be customer-service oriented.

Should be highly-motivated, self-directed individual who takes pride in and ownership of their work product and be able to work independently after a period of training as well as work well as part of a team; must be able to take direction; must have strong organizational, editing and proofreading skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer service in mind; must have ability to multi-task but still be detail oriented.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

FOLLOW OUR PROCESS, use our cutting-edge software and technologies to:

  • Act as witness during signing meetings
  • Answer multi-line telephone
  • Greet Clients, schedule client meetings, and otherwise interface with clients using set signatures in Outlook
  • Accurate data entry of client information into electronic filing system and document production software
  • Maintain and update electronic files in our database
  • Scan estate planning documents and binders
  • Order deeds from other states for planning needs
  • Revise estate plan documents using software, as needed
  • Electronically file documents within our file system and, as needed, with the Court, with attorney oversight
  • Draft routine correspondence
  • Extreme attention to detail required

This is a full-time position, five days a week, 9-5:00 daily; must be ready to work no later than 9 AM. This position has growth potential.
