How to Write a IP Patent Hardware Attorney Job Description

A regional law firm is seeking a Patent Attorney to join their intellectual property group in Beaverton office. Candidate will prepare and prosecute patent applications, write opinions, and conduct freedom to operate studies relating to a wide range of technical work.  Candidate will work on sophisticated patent prosecution and technical analysis work relating to computer hardware, computer software, telecommunications, electrical, electromechanical, and automotive technologies. Firm offers a compensation structure that is well above market for the area and provides a flexible work environment. The position can be part or full time with telecommuting opportunities.

Requirements:

• Must have 4+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
• Experience with both utility and design applications is preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice before the USPTO under a simple and rewarding model.
• Should have an electrical engineering or computer science background (hardware/software).
