Organization is seeking Part-Time Paralegals

Organization is currently seeking part-time paralegals to work in their Early Representation Unit and/or Behavioral Health Unit. This is an OPS position, with no benefits, and the hourly pay rate is dependent on the applicant's legal experience.

Qualifications:

-Law student at a local university
-Proficiency in MS Word
-Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
-English/Spanish and/or English/Creole preferred
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to work some weekends and holidays a plus

The paralegal will assist with client intake interviews in correctional facilities and hospitals, requesting and processing records, records review, preparing calendars, files, documentation and follow-through.

Hourly Pay Rates:

-Law student who is not a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) - $23 per hour
-Law student who is a CLI and has completed a CLI internship - $24 per hour

This is an OPS position and the applicant must have a law degree from a local university, be proficient in MS Word, have excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills, with English/Spanish and/or English/Creole preferred. Reliable transportation is essential for this in-person position and working some weekends and holidays is a plus.
